Keeper of the Gems

I have seen spandex-wearing fabulousness, but never as sweatery or glamorous as the gem-tastic Leslie Hall!  She came to town in a purple van and brought more joy than had been seen in these parts for many a moon. I have been filling my ears and days with her lady jams putting smiles on my faces ever since. Not only is she a Midwest Diva and purveyor of gold pants, but also a trained artist.  If you are not yet a junior gem, go forth and learn well the tale!  SHAZAM!!!

Grave Matters

This is my lowly, humanistic, nearsightedness on recent losses- yet only one side of a tarnished coin…

Cut the cord,

tie the line.

Life is naught

but fraying twine.

LaNigiro

I idolize.  I mimic.  I adore.

I will take.  I will break.  I will become.

I am…

Fragment

I’m slowly collecting you.

A leaf in my hand;

dust in my eye

creating a pearl.

You leave me stuck

with that old romance.

A slow-fading stain;

watercolor heart.

I am the soil

beneath the snake-

clutching at heels,

depositing bones.

I’ve been gathering

fragments,

assembling facsimiles;

Faint echoes of you.
